LaSean Price: Finding Her Purpose as a Transfer Student
LaSean Price calls herself a “late bloomer.” She was twenty-two years old when she began her college journey at a two-year college in California. While attending college, she took a job at the college admissions office and fell in love with the work of higher education and helping students. Once she achieved an associate's degree in business administration, she transferred to California State University, Northridge where she earned a bachelor's degree in Sociology. Her advice for people of all ages who have credits to pursue transfer opportunities to complete a degree is…
“If you decide this the right decision for you, when you are ready to make that leap, know that you're not in a race with someone else. This is your journey.”
LaSean's experience working in the college admissions office as well as her experience as a transfer student prepared her for her current career as the Transfer Program Manager of Undergraduate Admissions at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Refer to her Transfer Champion story to learn how she encourages transfer students to succeed.
