Meghan Jacobs: Using Dual Enrollment as a Springboard to College Success

Meghan Jacobs began taking dual enrollment courses at Gordon State College when she was a junior at Upson-Lee High School in Thomaston, Georgia. She was able to transfer her dual enrollment credits to the University of Georgia where she is pursuing a degree in Entertainment and Media Studies. Meghan says being a dual enrollment student prepared her for college academically, and in many other ways.
“I also think it gives you a good experience of what college will be like. And there's a lot of freedom in that, too. I really enjoyed my experience of being a dual enrollment student at Gordon State College and I think it prepared me to be a student at the University of Georgia.”
In this video, Meghan explains how she is on track to graduate from college a semester early thanks to her dual enrollment credits.
